I recently played several games with the brand new Thompson t240. The paddle is a bit heavier than I’m used to at 8.5 ounces, but it is so well balanced that it did not feel that heavy. It’s a treat to play with, and a great mix between power and control. The sweet spot seems to be edge to edge and end to end. The flush to the face edge guard also adds to the playable surface. The textured face makes creating spin, which use a lot, very easy and when a little extra power is needed, the t240 responds with plenty. It’s a high powered paddle with a huge sweet spot and still feels soft enough for times when a reset is the right play. I highly recommend giving this one a try.

I had the opportunity to play a couple days with the new all carbon Thompson paddle.  It’s solid, huge sweat spot, and delivers tremendous spin control.

I plan on moving up to a Thompson as soon as they are available!

Right from the start, when I first held the paddle, it had a well-balanced feel. It did not disappoint on the court. I noticed a significant difference in my control / accuracy and increased hand speed. I have enjoyed my Joola for over a year, but this paddle I feel will take me to the next level.

I was fortunate to test out the Thompson T-230 Pickleball paddle today.    In total, I played with it for roughly 2-1/2 hrs.
I had been using a Head Gravity 5H,  so switching to the T-230 took a short time to get used to the new paddle.. (1-2 games ).
Right away, I could sense how consistent the ‘feel’ was with the T-230.   My shots improved, especially my drop shots !!   ( The Head paddle has lots of dead spots, especially if I don’t hit it exactly in the center.. ’the sweet spot’.)
All of my intentions in the ‘dink’ game were accurate,  even if my paddle was not in perfect alignment when hitting the ball.  In other words, my off center shots had ‘pop’ and ‘feel’…NO DEAD SPOTS to the paddle.
As the paddle was solid, and my dinks didn’t fall flat, my confidence grew with every game…so did my performance !!
By the end of the day, I trusted this paddle to perform well… and it DID !!   ( funny thing happened when I returned the paddle.. My game went back to a compilation of shots, that fell flat, due to the dead spots in the Head paddle.

My opinion:
Vastly superior paddle than my Head Gravity 5H.
Great ‘feel' to the paddle,
Lots of ‘pop’ when needed
No dead spots, , so when I didn’t hit it perfectly center.. it was very ‘forgiving’.
