Good paddles

I liked the paddles but I’m using the CPX Pro paddle now and feel they are about the same quality. So I’ve returned your paddles but I don’t think I will be buying one at the moment.
Thanks, Bob Edwards

Demo paddles

The paddles were good paddles and I enjoyed demoing them. I would still wonder what the different handle would feel like but it was a good experience although 30 dollars is a little high for a week if you don’t end up buying

Great service

I have played with both for the last week and have decided on the Uni. Will place my order upon the return of the demo paddles.

Gold in first tourney with my Uni

I've been playing with the Twill since March this year, decided to try the Uni, fresh out of the box, straight into battle. Massive sweet spot, great grab on the ball for extra spin while still providing great driving power.

I love this paddle. It has the explosive power that I like. When I decide to use it. I especially like how it gives me more feel of the ball. Helped with my touch game.
Great job guys.

Great paddle, dime store grip!

Both paddles had a good feel. Overall I liked the Twill better than the Uni. The surface on the Twill provided better spin. Very surprised you put a $.50 grip and what is a good paddle. I live in FL where we experience high humidity. Even using sweat bands on my wrist and a tacky towel, the paddle kept slipping in my hands. I believe you need to immediately address this flaw in design. The paddle market moves very quickly. You may only get one chance to prove your concept.

Great Paddle

Perfect paddle for spin, control and power. I’m new to the Pickleball scene however, I played tennis and racquetball competitively. I love the feel of the 525 Twill and also appreciate that’s it’s Made in America. 🇺🇸

Attn Bill

Bill, so far the paddle has done well for me. It’s more consistent and accurate than what I was using. It’s surprising how quick I can switch from forehand to backhand when at the line. I does not hit the ball hard if there is any downfall. That’s a double edged sword because you need light weight to be fast. Because of my shoulder issues this is a great choice for me. Lightweight saves my arm a little. Keep in touch

Great Demo Program

As a recreational pickleball player with a self-rated skill level of about 2.75+, I’ve been playing for five years. I’m not an athlete, but pickleball suits my lifestyle and fitness level. I started with inexpensive Amazon paddles, but after a year, I upgraded to a name-brand edgeless paddle, which I loved for its feel and playability. I’ve tried traditional paddles with edge banding, but they never felt right. When my edgeless paddle started losing its pop, I began searching for a lightweight, high-performance replacement—crucial since my shoulder replacement surgery a year ago limits me to lighter paddles.
After reading reviews of Thompson paddles online, I decided to try their demo program. For a small fee, I received one of each of their paddles to test for a week, complete with a return label for hassle-free shipping. The demo also came with a discount code, which nearly offset the demo cost if I purchased within 60 days.
Over the week, I played four times, totaling about five hours, and shared the paddles with recreational friends and a few competitive players. Everyone raved about the feel and performance. Though the Thompson paddles exceeded my usual budget for equipment, their quality, combined with my research into the company’s craftsmanship, convinced me to stretch my spending. On the last day of the demo, I returned the paddles and ordered my own. It shipped the same day and arrived just in time for my league night two days later.
That night, I played hard and was thrilled with the paddle’s performance—no buyer’s remorse whatsoever. This is now my paddle of choice, and I’m confident it will stay that way. Thompson paddles feel like a hidden gem; with more exposure, they could easily become a pro favorite. Even as a recreational player, I noticed opponents marveling at my shots, asking, “How did you get that back over the net?” This paddle boosts my confidence, delivering consistent performance that elevates my game. It’s only as good as the player wielding it, but for me, it’s a game-changer.

Quality Paddle

There was no adjustment time on my use of this paddle. I like the smaller grip, as well as the durable edge. It is light, but well weighted. I am enjoying playing with it. I am also happy that it is manufactured in northern Michigan.

never played with the paddle, did not care for
the feel of the handle, returned it for credit

Big upgrade in spin!

Now my main paddle! I've played tennis for most of my life and this paddle gives me a ton of topspin on my shots. Compared to some other paddles I've used, I've noticed my balls have way more topspin and give my opponents a lot more trouble. Be warned, however, that the paddle is very powerful! For the first few days, I was hitting a ton of shots long, and many of my serves were sailing long. However, now that I'm used to the increased spin/power, I really feel like my shots have been elevated to another level.

I love this paddle!

I was in the Boyne area a few weeks back and everyone was talking about this paddle. I tried it and came right to the store to buy one. I've used it exclusively and just love the pop on the paddle as well as the control. I am, however, surprised how dirty the face gets after just one game. I was told I don't need to use an eraser, but I do just so it looks clean. Maybe I'm a clean freak! Anyways, I've been promoting your paddle downstate. I have used a ProKennex paddle for several years because of its technology (lightweight and doesn't hurt my injured right shoulder, elbow or wrist). The Uni doesn't either! I'm so glad I found this. Thanks again!!

Meets expectations, light , grip very comfortable and paddle provide pop when In rally

Sublime Paddle

The Thompson 515 Twill is sublime, with great power and weight ration allowing smooth powerful baseline strokes, allowing for deft touch on the dinks and a ball that rips off the face when applying spin. This is an epic paddle.

Demo great: bought it: love it!

Great paddle (for me)

Love the paddle !

I had to order the hard handle as you were out of stock on the preferred handle. I find this handle gets very slippery and I’ve not had ‘sweaty’ hands with other paddles. Also- is there a brush I can buy to keep the grit/dirt of the twill pattern?

Game Changing Paddle

I've tried a lot different high end paddles, they play good but all seem to be similar in feel. The Thompson paddle I purchased was different. For myself, the paddle feels like it's a more balance paddle than any other I've used. Ever aspect of the Thompson paddle from the design to the build and the way the paddle performs during play fells like quality in your hand. I'm extremely with my paddle purchase from Thompson. I will be purchasing another paddle from Thompson for a backup soon...

No pop

I purchased this paddle solely because it was entirely made in the US. This is my fourth paddle in 3 years. The handle is hard and unpadded and slips and turns and is a bit too large in my hand compared to all of my 3 previous paddles (two were similarly priced Vulcans). Even wearing a glove, it’s difficult to control slippage. This paddle lacks pop and power and despite the surface grit, spin is not what I had anticipated. I thought perhaps it was just me, but had my husband (4.0) try it and he agreed.

Great Demo Option

Was able to demo both paddles. Since I play a few times a week the demo period was long enough to get a good sense of each! Easy process.

High quality paddles built right here in Michigan.

I bought a Uni in January of 2025. I was impressed by the quality of the paddle. Recently switched to the twill and found it to be a better fit for my style of play. I found both paddles gave me improved control and confidence at the no volley line. Twill has a little more pop and spin imo. Great paddles.
