FAQ

Can I modify the grip easily?

Yes, the stock grip is the perfect base for adding an overgrip.

Want to add a Hesacore grip? No problem, it will easily go over the stock grip - you may however want to take off the original grip to keep the final circumfernce from getting too big.

To remove the stock grip, simply snip the end with scissors and then peel it like a banana.

Which paddle should I get?

Choose the 515 Uni if you want more power with a quicker feel off the face. It’s also a bit lighter (8.1 oz) and faster at the net.

Choose the 515 Twill if you prefer slightly more control and stability, especially if you already generate plenty of power yourself. At 8.4 oz with a slightly higher twist weight, it offers a bit more forgiveness on off-center hits.

Bottom line: If you want the most power and speed, choose the Uni. If you’re a powerful player looking for more control and precision, choose the Twill. Both deliver elite-level spin and performance.

So far, so good!

I am enjoying getting to learn this new, not having a raised edge is such a bonus, the sweet spot is enormous, and it generates plenty of power for a thin paddle, it's maneuverable and controllable. Only thing I didn't like is the grip texture, but an overgrip solved that in 2 mins.

Great From The 1st Shot - Instant Confidence

I had been playing with CRBN paddles. I saw and read the Thompson reviews and decided to try one. My wife now has my last CRBN. I had so much instant confidence with my new Twill. I have used it every day since receiving it and love it. I’ll probably buy one for my wife now.

Tennis Players Must-Have Paddle - Seriously!

FINALLY!!! A paddle I can hit a big western grip forehand with and create looping topspin shots. I’ve tried a ton of paddles, and my Twill is the first time I’m just stoked and nothing else.

Only caveat- if you’re used to even a lightly tacky grip, get a replacement grip on this bad boy before you even hit it. The grip it comes with is extremely slick, even without any sweat. Other than that, it’s perfect!

Second Thompson paddle, very happy!

I bought a Uni earlier this year, decided to also try the Twill. The Twill is as advertised - slightly softer feel, a little more spin. I am very happy with both, but am leaning toward the Twill as my main paddle. I can get tons of top spin on my "hybrid" drives, the ball really dips into the kitchen. I love the resets and dinks with the Twill. I also still like my Uni a lot, but feel the Twill gives me a bit more control. Overall I'm very happy with both my Thompsons.

Game-Changing
