Fundamentally Different Pickleball Paddle Construction
Patent Pending TrueFeel™ Sidewall Technology fully surrounds the core of the paddle with a rigid, vibration absorbing urethane sidewall. This construction creates a massive sweet spot with a natural, intuitive feeling and higher accuracy.
Multi-column
TrueFeel™ Benefits on the Court
- Most consistent hitting surface available
- Largest sweet spot
- No edge-guard, Maximum playing surface
- Outstanding Aesthetics
- Vibration Damping
TrueFeel™ Benefits inside the Paddle
- Fully surrounded core with permanent sidewall protection
- Perimeter weighting is infinitely tunable per model
- Design flexibility in manufacturing
Engineering + Design
We design and engineer the fully integrated TrueFeel™ Sidewall to present certain playing characteristics such as a "head light", "head heavy" or neutral playing weight of the paddles. The urethane construction provides vibration dampening and shock absorption properties (for better play and reduced fatigue), diminishing vibrations or reverberations while hitting the ball. This, combined with the perimeter weighting provides for the largest sweet spot and creates the most stable playing surface you will find on the market.
Origin
This is where our paddle designs begin, and the basis for the playing characteristics of all our paddles. Our fully integrated TrueFeel™ Sidewall Technology is the molded and cast urethane thermoset (outside) peripheral edge of every paddle. (Not to be confused with an off-the-shelf thermoformed paddle).
Thermoset Sidewall
Thermosetting rigid urethane (not foam) is injected to form a rigid sidewall to the exacting standards of a particular paddle. Depending on desired playing characteristics, it may be harder or softer.
Our thermoset TrueFeel™ sidewall is paramount to the intentional design every Thompson Paddle. It encompasses the entire paddle as it is built into the paddle core itself and throughout the entire handle.
